1. By posting articles to sources like e-zines, article directories, newsletters or blogs, you will brand your web site, business and yourself. With every article, you are given the opportunity to promote your business with the resource/bio box where you can provide your web site address, e-mail address and other business information.

2. Write more and more articles about your topic and you'll be viewed as an expert by your readers. This will help you better compete against your competition by giving you extra credibility. Now, if there is a little voice in your head saying "But I'm not an expert on anything," let me say two things: 1) become an expert on something and 2) remember that if you know something, there is always somebody out there that doesn't know what you know so, in their eyes, you are an expert!

3. The publisher might also decide to post your article on their web site's home page. This means that your article will be read much more since the home page is the most viewed page of any web site. In addition, your web site will get indexed faster and more frequently because the web site's home page will usually have a higher page rank than it's other pages.

4. If the e-zine publisher archives their e-zine on their site, you will get extra exposure well into the future with no additional work. Why is this? It's because many people like to read past issues to evaluate the content they will receive if the subscribe. Furthermore, many people will want to read all of the past issues as well because the content of the issues that they are receiving is so good.

5. You will get free advertising! But it will generate profit that you can use on other types of advertising. You could buy advertisements in other e-zines or web sites that don't publish your articles or through Google Adwords or text/banner ads. Every day, your advertising options will become more and more numerous.

6. The more articles you write, the more of an authority you become. The more of an authority you become the more people will be interested in paying you to write other articles, books or even speak at seminars or events. Just watch your income and business grow larger and larger without additional work. The whole thing becomes bigger and bigger because it just keeps feeding itself more and more.

7. Grant e-zine publishers the right to publish your articles in free e-books. Since the e-books don't cost anything, people are willing to take it and read your article. If they like the e-book they will forward it to friends, family and business associates. And if they like your article, they'll visit your web site. The really cool thing about this method is that if they don't like your article, they still might forward the e-book on to others and one of those people might really like your article. So there is a good possibility that your article will get read a lot! I can't tell you how many times I receive e-books that have my articles from friends that I never even sent the e-book to in the first place! 8. Submit your articles to article directories and it will get published all over the internet. They'll grant their readers or visitors the right to copy your article and publish it on their web sites... provided that they give you credit for writing the article and link to your web site as well.

9. You'll gain people's trust. If they read your article and like it, they won't be as hesitant to buy your product or service. Your sales conversions and profits will go through the roof!

10. You could get your article guaranteed to run in an e-zine. You could agree to run one of their articles in your e-zine if, in exchange, they run yours in their e-zine. It's a win/win situation!
